The sky's the Scrumptious limit

The skies were certainly the scrumptious limit when Restaurant Week Ambassador Floyd Green walked in with his lovely other half, Kerida Brice.

The two dined under open skies overlooking Kingston last Thursday night following the showering rain which had many scurrying for home. Quaint and convivial by nature, Sora Japanese Sky Cuisine offers both indoor and outdoor ambience, as they invite you to engage in your sense of taste, creating culinary charm with more than just sushi for this upcoming Restaurant Week.

Their delightful appetisers for the occasion included fried crab cakes and shrimp tempura. Brice declared that the squid came in pretty large bites, and were a little fresher than she anticipated, but the tempura, she said, was good and the sauce served with the dish really augments the flavour of the tempura.

Green shared that the crab sticks were good, and recommended that if you were a cheese lover, then this choice is definitely one for you. For the main course, they upped the savoury ante with their signature Yaki Udon Original and barbecued pork with sticky rice and garden vegetables. Green remarked that the pork came as a 'sweet' surprise, literally, while Brice said she liked Yaki Using Original, which she described as reminiscent of a chow mein and saw as a healthier meal option.

By dessert, Green marvelled at the green tea ice cream, and revealed with a smile, "The fact that the ice cream is green is a big plus for me: it means prosperity."

They both enjoyed their sweet treat among a myriad of distantly glimmering city lights.
