Five prisoners still on the run after Linstead jailbreak

Five prisoners remain on the run after escaping from the Linstead Police Lock-up in St Catherine this morning.

The police say about 9:30 this morning, police at the facility went to make checks and discovered that six of the inmates were missing.

One of them, Alwayne Shakespeare, was recaptured in the Linstead Market.

Those still on the run include 25-year-old Shane Wellington, of Cassava Pond in Ewarton, who is charged with murder; 28-year-old Ezroy Cohen, of Banbury, Linstead, who is charged with Burglary and Rape; and 24-year-old Damion Daley, of Banbury, Linstead, who is charged with Arson.

The others are 22-year-old Daniel James, of Troja, St Catherine, who is charged with rape and 29-year-old Anthony Jarrett, of Mountain Pass, Linstead and Church Pen, Old Harbour, who is charged for murder.

The Police are asking these men to turn themselves in.

They are also urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to call the Linstead Police, Police 119 Emergency Number or the nearest Police Station.
